COMPANY HISTORY: The Leibensperger name has been synonymous with school busing since 1938 when Allen Leibensperger purchased a used 1936 Terraplane by Hudson to service his first transportation contract. This vehicle was driven by Esther, his wife, who arguably was one of the first female school vehicle drivers in the state of Pennsylvania. Allen's son, Ray, entered the school bus business after leaving the Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Motor Pool in 1952. Ray and Allen worked hand in hand as the business grew over the years.

In 1971 Ray
Leibensperger started to sell school buses in addition to his contracting business
with a small storefront in East Texas, Pennsylvania under the name
of "L & M Transportation Sales." Ten years later, Ray bought
out his partner and renamed the company.
In 2002, Ray's son Russ officially joined the firm and
expanded the business model. He brought a new focus to the repair
and service side of the business to better utilize the facility.
OUR FACILITY: Realizing the need for a modern
facility, a new 9,000 square foot facility was built in 1974 at 3096
Route 100, Macungie, Pennsylvania. In order to install a new 60'
DeVilibus spray booth, a 3,000 square foot addition was added in
1978. In 1988 an addition of 9,000 square feet was added to
accommodate five body shop bays and an expanded parts area. Therefore,
today we have a modern 21,000 square foot building to serve all of
your total school bus transportation needs for sales, parts,
service, parts, and body shop repairs.
